Abstract

Many countries, especially developing countries, face many environmental crises and accidents that negatively affect the lives of living organisms on Earth, and among the most environmentally influential practices are industrial processes that are harmful to the environment and the emissions associated with them. It is considered one of the most important mechanisms that enable the facility to discover and monitor the environmental impact of the facility’s activities, as organizations face enormous challenges in order to improve their performance, and one of the most prominent of these challenges is the intensification of global competition, which prompts these organizations to find safer ways that take into account the environmental and social dimensions to improve performance and increase Competence and therefore Their responsibility for their surroundings is therefore the main question posed by this study. We noticed that many projects use equipment and raw materials that are not environmentally friendly, and do not care about environmental impact assessment. The main objective of this study is to know the extent to which the application of environmental management systems contributes to improving the productivity of workers within some textile factories and thus increases economic growth, as well as the extent to which it contributes to reducing the risks of environmental pollution resulting from factories and companies. The study found the hypotheses to be correct and some recommendations were made to improve the environmental performance of these facilities. This study derives its importance from the countries’ orientation and desire to achieve sustainable development after being exposed to many environmental problems. Protecting the environment and its economic resources and creating environmental awareness through the optimal use of natural resources in light of sustainable development has become a priority.
