THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FUTURE ANXIETY AND QUALITY OF LIFE AMONG THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL COLLEGE STUDENTS

Abstract

The research aimed to reveal the relationship between future anxiety and the quality of life among students in theoretical and practical colleges. The researcher used the descriptive approach, and the research sample consisted of (400) male and female students from Ain Shams University, with (200) male and female students from theoretical colleges and ( 200 male and female students from practical colleges whose ages ranged between (18-21) years. The research tools included a measure of future anxiety and a measure of quality of life (prepared by the researcher). The results revealed that there was a statistically significant negative correlation between anxiety about the future and quality of life. Life among theoretical and practical college students. The research recommended the necessity of implementing a group of guidance programs for university students in various colleges (theoretical and practical) to develop their skills, reduce future anxiety, and improve the quality of life, and the necessity of including self-management and guidance skills within university curricula, and spreading awareness among university youth of the importance of planning, good organization, and time management. For a better future.
