THE FACTORS OF WOMEN EMPOWERMENT IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS A COMPARATIVE STUDY BETWEEN RURAL AND URBAN AREAS

Abstract




The study aimed to identify the factors for empowering Egyptian women in sustainable development projects in the governorates of Cairo and Sohag; The study was applied to women who received loans from the Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises Development Agency in the two governorates for a number of (180) single individuals. . The study revealed that there is a discrepancy in the difficulties faced by the study sample during the establishment of their projects, and it was found that the main reason for obtaining a loan to establish the project in the two study communities is the desire to work. The study also showed that the vast majority of the sample had achieved economic independence from the project, and the project contributed to changing the lives of the two study communities.
As he helped them to strengthen their self-esteem, and thus they have the ability to make decisions within his family. Therefore, the study presented some recommendations, including: the need to work on establishing permanent exhibitions in each governorate at nominal prices; Work to facilitate the procedures for obtaining loans and reduce the interest rate; And the importance of evaluating the places in each governorate to know the places where marketing is available.
