Abstract

This research aimed to identify the relationship between environmental management systems and the solid waste recycling system. Sustainable procedures related to solid waste management, participation in solid waste management, awareness and attitudes of employees towards solid waste management and recycling.
The research relied on the descriptive analytical approach to reach its goals set by the researchers, and this approach was built on combining theoretical study and field study to reach an effective framework linked to each other. The researchers designed a survey list that was distributed to a random sample of workers in the departments of production, warehouses, and occupational safety and health in factories located in the city of Obour, in the industrial areas, numbering 383 individuals. The general results of the study showed the validity, validity and effectiveness of the proposed study model.
One of the most important results that have been reached is that there is a strong direct correlation between environmental management systems and solid waste recycling in all dimensions, where they were arranged in terms of the strength of the correlation: environmental performance, pollution control, environmental waste reduction, then environmental goals, and the researchers recommended a set of The most important recommendations are: Designing an environmental monitoring system commensurate with the nature of the factory’s production activities and concerned with all forms of pollution resulting from the factory’s production, storage and logistical activities, including the factory’s strategic plan with strategic objectives related to good management of natural resources and energy rationalization.
