THE EFFECTIVENESS OF A COGNITIVE HEALTHY PROGRAM FOR REHABILITATION OF THOSE ARE DEALING WITH CHILDREN WITH DIABETES IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS AND ITS RELATION TO SELF-ESTEEM IN TERMS OF THE QUALITY OF LIFE VARIABLE

Abstract

The present study aims to provide a healthy knowledge-based rehabilitation program for dealing with children's diabetes patients in primary schools (in Cairo) and its Relation to Self-esteem in Terms of the Quality of Life variable through:

Raising the level of health knowledge to Dealing with children with diabetes (Type I) in primary schools, which will be applied to them the program
- The impact of Health knowledge program directed to Dealing with children in the school environment in self-esteem in children with diabetes (Type I).
- The impact of health knowledge program directed to clients with children in the school environment in raising the quality of life in children with diabetes (Type I).
- The continuation of the impact of health knowledge program directed to Dealing with children in the school environment to raise the self-esteem and quality of life.

This study is one of the experimental studies which are based on the use of experimentation strategy, which includes the choice of the relationship between two variables, one independent have been conducted on a sample of 36 students of both sexes (11 Females and 25 males) who have diabetes and between the ages of ( 8-12 ) years old and enrolled in primary schools in Cairo and children enrolled in Diabetes unit, Ain Shams University,  and their teachers (70 teachers), children were divided into (18) Children the experimental group and 18 to the control group, as the teachers were divided into (35) teacher experimental group and (35) teachers of the control group, has been collecting data in the period
From the beginning of the month of October (2013) to the end of December (2013), The study used a number of tools to validate assumptions, and tools are:
a. The extent of health awareness scale for dealers with children with Type I diabetes in the school environment.
B. Quality of life scale for children with diabetes (Type I).
T. List of self-esteem for Cooper-Smith.
After conducting statistical treatments was reached following results:
• Increasing the level of Health knowledge program for Dealing with children in primary schools for Juvenile Diabetes, and a high degree of reliance and quality of life assessment in children and this emphasizes the possibility of using cognitive health program in self-improvement and quality of life assessment in children with diabetes from the (type I) in primary schools.
