Abstract

Foreign trade is an important economic tool that contributes to financing sustainable development plans, especially considering the global trend towards environmental standards in production and marketing. Exports are a key element in stimulating the national economy by enhancing growth, providing foreign exchange, and achieving trade balance, which makes them of particular importance to developing countries such as Egypt, In this context, Egyptian food industry exports are gaining increasing importance due to their competitive advantages and ability to access multiple markets. Frozen vegetables and tomato sauce are among the most prominent products witnessing growing global demand, driven by the quality of production and the availability of agricultural raw materials, The study aims to analyze the development of the quantities, values, and prices of exports of these products during the period from 2012 to 2021, and to study the geographical distribution of the most important importing countries. The results showed that the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Italy are the largest importers of frozen vegetables, while Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE are the largest importers of tomato sauce, The study recommended the need to open new markets and improve quality and packaging to ensure export sustainability, increase Egypt's market share in global markets, and support sustainable development in the food industry.
