Abstract

The study aimed to verify the effectiveness of an emotional intelligence development program to address environmental and psychological pressures among parents of high school students. The experimental approach and an experimental design with an experimental and control group, as well as pre-post measurement were used. The results showed that the program was effective in developing emotional intelligence to address pressures among parents of students. Therefore, the study recommends conducting studies on the role of cultural and social factors in the development of emotional intelligence skills, and conducting in-depth studies on emotional intelligence and its relationship to other variables such as personality traits, the Big Five personality factors, assertiveness, and social effectiveness..
