Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of environmental governance in achieving sustainable development in its dimensions (environmental dimension, social dimension, economic dimension) and its impact on administrative performance in its dimensions (building trust between superiors and subordinates, administrative efficiency, organizational effectiveness) in industrial companies in greater Cairo. The study followed the descriptive-analytical approach. that there is a strong direct relationship of statistical significance to environmental governance in achieving sustainable development, and the study also found that there is a medium direct relationship of statistical significance to environmental governance in improving administrative performance. The study recommended the need to spread environmental awareness among employees of industrial companies and the public by holding seminars and conferences, paying attention to environmental awareness in all media, disseminating successful companies ' experiences in the field of environmental governance to be an example to follow, introducing modern technology and environmentally friendly production processes in the industrial sector, and spreading a spirit of trust among superiors and subordinates and raising their morale to benefit from their energies and capabilities to achieve sustainable development.
