Abstract

The study aimed to identify the concept of personal space and its relationship to self-concept and the level of ambition among adolescents, in light of psychological and social variables ,In light of this, the study relied on the comparative descriptive approach ,The study also used a set of tools prepared by the researcher, which were: the personal space scale, the self-concept scale, The level of ambition scale, and the psychological and social variables scale The results of the study concluded that personal space is one of the factors that positively influence (self-concept and level of ambition) among adolescents, It was also shown that personal space has an effective role in enhancing a number of psychological variables represented in (psychological security, psychological compatibility, and thinking Self), the results also revealed the link between personal space and some social variables, including (economic and cultural level, social values and beliefs, and social role), which reflects the importance of this variable in building the adolescent’s personality and supporting him psychologically and socially.
