Abstract

The study aimed to identify the nature of the relationship between economic growth and environmental pollution crimes and to prepare a SWOT analysis to examine the strengths and weaknesses of promoting green energy production, one of the most important economic incentives for reducing environmental pollution crimes and stimulating low-carbon growth in Egypt. The study relied on an inductive approach, an analytical approach, and a SWOT analysis. The study concluded that there is a potential for success in promoting green energy production with the aim of reducing environmental pollution crimes. The study recommended the importance of issuing legislation that precisely defines the nature, elements, and types of environmental crimes and keeps pace with the ongoing development of this type of crime. It also recommended investing in human capital, focusing on technical and technological education, and providing more government support to promote green energy production. It also recommended intensifying international cooperation in the field of green energy production and trade.
