Abstract

The study aims to highlight environmental and health problems resulting from increasing the volume of electronic waste s environment ", as it is a global environmental problem for all developed and developing countries, The Waste Management Regulation Act, No. 202 of 2020, was promulgated in Egypt. In light of the application of the law, how to manage electronic waste in Egypt, the impact of this application on raising individuals' awareness of how to properly dispose of their electronic remnants and its impact on reducing environmental and health damage resulting from practices during the recycling and disposal of electronic waste. Researchers prepared a questionnaire that was distributed to several individuals working in some of Egypt's electronic waste recycling companies. The questionnaire questions were divided into three main themes: The first included: Raising people's environmental awareness and how to get rid of electronic waste. The second included: Damage caused by electronic waste, including the third theme: the importance of environmental legislation governing the management of electronic waste in particular and its compatibility with sustainable development goals. Researchers relied on the descriptive curriculum as the appropriate curriculum for the study. The study concluded the most important findings that there were differences in individuals' environmental awareness of how to get rid of their electronic remnants correctly. and found environmental and health damage resulting from the presence of electronic waste and the failure to dispose of it in a sound manner, The study found that environmental legislation to manage e-waste was particularly important for achieving sustainable development goals s environmental awareness of how to properly dispose of their electronic remnants, Promote remediation and reuse policies, and the necessity of a legislative amendment regulating the management of e-waste.
