THE QUALITY OF WORK LIFE AND ITS IMPACT ON THE PSYCHOLOGICAL ADJUSTMENT OF WORKERS IN HIGHER COMMERCIAL INSTITUTES.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the relationship between the quality of work life and psychological adjustment among employees in higher commercial institutes. The study employed a descriptive-analytical approach on a random sample of 245 employees working in higher commercial institutes in Cairo Governorate, using a questionnaire as the data collection tool. The research found that a significant proportion of the sample are employed in fields within the institute regardless of their academic qualifications. It also revealed that certain dimensions of the quality of work life, such as wages and rewards, achieved a medium level of implementation. Similarly, the dimensions of job security, work-life balance, and participation in decision-making were all found to achieve a medium level of implementation.   The study recommended that the Ministry of Higher Education should ensure the provision of advanced educational technologies in all higher commercial institutes, enhance the relationship between the quality of work life and psychological adjustment among employees in various work fields, and equip higher institutes with the resources needed to effectively utilize advanced educational technologies.
