Abstract

The current study aims to achieve a set of objectives related to information and communication technology (ICT) and its role in achieving sustainable development in the textile and clothing industry in Egypt. These objectives include assessing the awareness of employees in this sector regarding ICT The study reveals a positive impact of ICT on enhancing sustainable development in the textile and clothing industry, contributing to the enrichment of scientific literature and expanding the research base in business management. The success of this technology is linked to educating employees on digital skills, which leads to improved efficiency, productivity, and competitive advantage. Focusing on developing human skills is crucial for establishing a knowledge society and managing ICT. The sector has made a significant leap in quality using technology to reduce time and costs and improve services. Modern technologies such as artificial intelligence and 5G enhance operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact, while industrial automation and zero-waste techniques improve production efficiency and environmental and economic sustainability. Where it was proved that the main hypothesis of the study, which states that "there is no effect of the dimensions and variables of governance, social responsibility and environmental responsibility on the basic and important variables that represent indicators of profitability. The results showed that there is A strong correlation between the variables and dimensions of governance and social and environmental responsibility
