Abstract

The study aims to analyze the environmental impacts of aircraft noise in Egypt, focusing on its impact on quality of life, public health, and biodiversity, and to evaluate the effectiveness of current policies and procedures in place in Egypt to reduce the impact of aircraft noise on the environment, and to provide practical and legal recommendations to reduce the negative effects of aircraft noise and improve environmental policies. The most important results of the study were the high levels of noise resulting from aircraft movement in areas near airports, which negatively affects the environment and the health of local residents. Aircraft noise is associated with health problems such as sleep disorders, high blood pressure, and increased stress levels. The study recommends the need to develop more comprehensive environmental policies to reduce the impact of aircraft noise, including setting maximum noise levels and strictly enforcing them, improving airport infrastructure in Egypt to reduce noise, such as using soundproof materials and re-planning aircraft paths to avoid residential areas, launching awareness campaigns for local residents about the health risks of aircraft noise and ways to adapt to them. in addition to involving the community in decision-making processes related to urban planning near airports.
