Abstract

The study aims to assess the social impact of climate change on the city of Alexandria, and relied on the scientific method through the social survey of the sample, and relied on the questionnaire and interview tool to collect data commensurate with the study and conducted the study on a sample of (200) respondents of workers in the beach tourism sector of males (147) and females (53) and were selected in a simple random way The ages of the subjects over 30 years and this is the target group that has lived with evolution and gradual climate change over three decades and the focus was On the most educated group, the study reached a set of results, including: There is a statistically significant relationship between the awareness of the Alexandrian citizen and the impact of climate change is very strong in favor of the most educated. There is a statistically significant correlation between the impact of climate change on the educational process and the public health of the people of Alexandria. There is a statistically significant correlation between the impact of climate change, infrastructure and tourism. The study suggested enhancing environmental awareness among community groups to raise their capabilities to adapt to climate change, mitigate its effects and renew and replace infrastructure for the benefit of Alexandria society in general and the tourism sector in particular.
