ENVIRONMENTAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL VARIABLES ASSOCIATED WITH JOB PERFORMANCE IN THE NEWSILIPALITS AN APPLIED STUDY ON CAIRO GOVERNMENT

Abstract

The current research aimed to identify the environmental and psychological variables that have an impact on the job performance of the local sector. The necessary tool was designed and applied to the research sample, a group of employees in the General Office of Cairo Governorate, which is a questionnaire for environmental variables in the work environment, a questionnaire for psychological variables in the work environment, and a performance questionnaire. The researchers also relied on the descriptive analytical approach to suit it with the research topic. The research reached many results, including That there is an inverse correlation between the environmental and psychological variables and job performance, that is, the more the environmental and psychological variables are appropriate and suitable for the workers, the better their job performance will be, and vice versa. The research also found that the environmental and psychological variables have a positive impact with an above average percentage on the workers in the General Office of Cairo Governorate. Consequently, it had a moderate positive impact on their job performance and the volume of their production at work. The researchers recommended the need to pay attention to the appropriate job climate for work, the need to pay attention to the psychological aspects of employees, and the proper selection of administrative leaders capable of using effective and successful leadership strategies, as well as the physical aspects of the employee, and the need to prepare training courses. Periodic training for employees, to inform them of everything new in their field of work.
