Abstract

Climate change directly and indirectly affects all aspects of life on planet Earth, as it represents one of the most important challenges facing both sustainable development and food security, in addition to its impact on many sectors, especially the agricultural sector. The study aims to identify the impact of climatic factors on wheat crop productivity in Beheira Governorate. To achieve this goal, this study relied on applying the descriptive and quantitative method in data processing. The results of the study showed that the maximum temperatures rose during the month of December, which had a significant positive impact on wheat production in Beheira Governorate, with a significant annual increase. The rise in maximum temperatures during the month of March led to a significant annual decrease in productivity, and the rise in humidity during the month of April led to a significant annual increase in wheat productivity. The study recommended the development of new varieties with a short growing season to reduce their water requirements, and to be resistant to heat and drought. Educating farmers and guiding them to improve agricultural practices and change planting dates and agricultural operations dates to suit the new weather conditions.
