PREPARING A SCALE OF ADJUSTMENT IN THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT FOR CHILDREN WITH ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER (ADHD)

Abstract

 
This research aimed to Construction a measure of adjustment in the school environment for children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and verify its standard efficiency. The research relied on a descriptive approach. sample consisted primary school children, The tools included a measure of adjustment in the school environment for children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)r. The results revealed the psychometric efficiency of the measure through calculating internal consistency and calculating reliability using Cronbach’s alpha methods and split-half methods. The results also showed the validity of the scale through three methods: content validity, arbitrators’ validity, and validity. contrast groups, The results of the t-test showed that there were statistically significant differences in the total score of the adjustment scale in the school environment, between children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)and normal children. The research ended with some recommendations for preparing remedial programs to develop adjustment skills in the school environment.
