Abstract

The research aimed to identify the role of environmental management strategies in disposing of electronic waste by applying it to the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy. The researcher presented a presentation to the research population and sample, in addition to describing the research variables, then clarifying the statistical methods used in the analysis. In order to achieve the research objectives, The descriptive approach in the theoretical study and the preparation of the field aspect, where the researcher relied, when collecting the primary data necessary for the research, on the method of observation and investigation and implementing the survey list directed to the sample items. Statistical analysis was used to ensure the validity of the research hypotheses. The study concluded that the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy adopted environmental management strategies in accordance with the requirements of sustainable development, environmental legislation, and Egypt’s Vision 2030. Applying environmental management strategies facilitates the safe disposal of electronic waste and helps in the task of recycling it, while cooperating with the concerned authorities in reducing the pollution resulting from this. Waste. The study recommended the necessity of periodic and continuous monitoring of various types of waste, especially electronic waste that results from the activity of the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy through the stages of production or use, increasing cooperation with civil society organizations specialized in environmental affairs and recycling, bringing expertise, participation, and sponsoring environmental awareness campaigns.
