THE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC RETURN OF THE DECENT LIFE INITIATIVE ON THE EGYPTIAN COUNTRYSIDE AN APPLIED STUDY ON THE VILLAGES OF QENA AND LUXOR GOVERNORATES AS AN EXAMPLE

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the social and economic return of the Decent Life Initiative on the Egyptian countryside, as well as to determine the social return of the Decent Life Initiative by measuring: the level of services (social, economic, health, and educational), and identifying the obstacles that prevent the Decent Life Initiative from achieving the social and economic return expected from it. In addition to arriving at a set of proposals that contribute to increasing the social and economic return of the Decent Life initiative, and identifying the most important supporting and facilitating factors to raise the level of services provided to citizens within the framework of implementing a decent life. The study used a questionnaire form applied to the beneficiaries of the Decent Life initiative, and the current study follows a survey approach. Social studies, both comprehensive and sample, and the study belongs to descriptive studies. A sample of (300) beneficiaries of the Decent Life Initiative was implemented in Qena and Luxor governorates. The most important results are that the beneficiaries were according to the standard of living from the point of view of the beneficiaries, as the general value of the standard was weak in Qena Governorate, while the number of beneficiaries in Luxor Governorate was at a moderate value. The research recommended activating the role of training units in exercising their tasks and specializations so that the models are specific to the process. Training shall be under the signature of the person in charge of the training unit to ensure that the training units exercise their tasks and competencies and to ensure the sustainability of coordination and communication between the training departments in the governorates and the training units in the social solidarity directorates, by holding training courses for those in charge of the training units at the republic level. To introduce them to their tasks and competencies, and how to exercise those tasks and competencies.
