A PROGRAM BASED ON GREEN PRACTICES TO DEVELOP ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY AMONG HOTEL SECTOR WORKERS

Abstract

The research aimed to learn the effectiveness of a program based on green practices in developing environmental responsibility for the hotel sector workers and to achieve the objective of research, a list of green practices in the hotel sector , a list of dimensions of environmental responsibility must be carried out by hotel workers and A program based on green practices was prepared through the presentation of 5 topics including photos and videos supporting the content of the topics within 5 working days. An environmental responsibility measure was built on three dimensions: familiarity with the concepts contained in the fields of green practices and - positive attention to the importance of applying green practices - Active participation by applying green practices, the program was applied  on (37) member of the hotel sector, (17) from Movenpick El Gouna Hotel in Red Sea Governorate and 20 from St. Regence Hotel in Cairo governorate, the Environmental Responsibility Measure was applied before and after the application of the program. The results were also processed. The results indicated that there are statistically significant differences between the mediums of the post and pre application of the Environmental Responsibility Scale for pre application due to the effectiveness of the Green Practices Program in developing the environmental responsibility among hotel workers.
