SOLID WASTE RECYCLING AND ITS IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF EGYPTIAN FAMILIES (AN APPLIED STUDY)

Abstract

The aim of the research is to study the use of solid waste recycling and its impact on the environment and sustainable development of Egyptian families. In order to achieve the research objectives, the descriptive analytical method was used based on the answers of the research sample and on the data that was obtained through the questionnaire, which is the tool used and which was distributed to a sample of some Egyptian families. Testing hypotheses statistically and verifying their validity.

The research concluded that waste recycling contributes significantly to achieving social balance on the one hand, protecting the environment from pollution risks, and achieving economic resources on the other hand. Good management of solid waste through the use of scientific methods to treat it and advanced technology for recycling has a positive impact on the environmental and economic balance. And social, and is evident from what developed countries have achieved in this field, The research recommends the necessity of qualifying and training the economic and residential sector on the danger of solid waste and how to deal safely with it, developing clear laws and stimulating and encouraging legislation to implement integrated environmental management for the purposes of comprehensive development, introducing the importance of integrated environmental management and comprehensive development and the concepts related to them, and including these concepts, definitions and management topics. Integrated environment, comprehensive development, and the importance of recycling and its strategies in curricula and academic activities since kindergarten and primary school.
