Abstract

The research aims to develop the aspects of participation and concepts of environmental governance among women in civil society organizations through the application of a proposed training program and measure the extent of its effectiveness by experimenting on the research group of 25 female workers in some NGOs affiliated to the NGO Forum of the National Council for women, the research used tools for evaluation through a scale of the aspects and requirements of participation, and a test of the concepts of environmental governance, and the research concluded that there is a statistically significant difference between the average scores of group members before and after the application of the proposed training program for both the scale of aspects of women's participation in civil society organizations as a whole, and in each aspect and requirements of to participate separately for the benefit of The research recommended the importance of introducing environmental governance concepts in the design and implementation of training programs for employees of civil society organizations, including the environmental perspective within the plans and projects of the organization, the need to develop those concepts that serve development work that intersects with all environmental issues, and the application of the concept of environmental governance with the involvement of three parties (government – private sector – civil society ).
