PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS AND ITS RELATIONSHIP TO PSYCHOLOGICAL BURNOUT AMONG A SAMPLE OF WORKERS AT THE DRINKING WATER AND SANITATION COMPANY IN GIZA, A COMPARATIVE STUDY.

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the nature of the psychological pressures that affect the workers of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in Giza, also to identify the extent of the impact of these pressures on the workers of both sexes, the study sample, and to identify the most psychological pressures surrounding the workers, the study sample, which contribute to the presence of psychological burnout and psychosomatic disorders. This study included a description of the study methodology, the study population and its sample, as well as the study tool used in collecting data and methods of preparing it.
The sample was selected from workers in the professions (accountant, administrator, engineer and chemist) using the standards And applying it to a sample of working at the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in Giza.
 and the study reached results: the existence of a relationship between environmental stress and burnout, the existence of differences between males and females in environmental stress, and the existence of differences between males and females in psychological combustion.
The study recommends: conducting counseling programs aimed at raising the degree of their abilities to deal with stressful situations and reducing the phenomenon of psychological burnout among them, activating communication between management and employees, providing equal opportunities in raising educational degrees as well as promotion to achieve growth and professional advancement.
