ENVIRONMENTAL SATISFACTION IN A SAMPLE OF ADOLESCENTS: A STUDY OF PSYCHOMETRIC CHARACTERISTICS

Abstract

The aim of this study was to prepare a theoretical model and a psychological measure of environmental satisfaction among adolescents and identify its psychometric characteristics, in addition to comparing male and female adolescents in rural and urban environments on the environmental satisfaction scale, the study sample consisted of (120) adolescent boys and girls from rural/ urban environments in Menoufia governorate; (30) male adolescents and (30) female adolescents with a total number of (60) adolescents from rural environments; and (30) male adolescents and (30) female adolescents with a total number of (60) adolescents from urban environments, the researcher used the environmental satisfaction the results of this study indicate that the measure of environmental satisfaction has a high degree of honesty and stability, and there are no significant differences There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the male adolescent group and the female adolescent group on the axes of satisfaction with the learning environment and satisfaction with the work environment in favor of the female group, and there are also no statistically significant differences at any level between the average scores of the adolescent group of rural residents and the adolescent group of urban residents on the environmental satisfaction scale and therefore acceptance of the zero assumption.
