Abstract

The study aimed to identify the relationship between emotional intelligence in dimensions (recognizing and expressing feelings, and the behavioral aspect) and bullying behavior in dimensions (verbal, physical, electronic, psychological, social) among a sample of students, and identifying the school environment predictive of bullying among a sample of students. They are characterized by bullying based on their scores in the bullying scale, and they also suffer from a low level of emotional intelligence based on their scores in the emotional intelligence scale, to ensure the validity and reliability of the tools, depending on the tools used In the study "bullying behavior scale, school environment scale, and emotional intelligence scale", the results of the study concluded: There are statistically significant differences in bullying behavior and emotional intelligence among the experimental study sample in the pre and follow-up performance. There are statistically significant differences among the experimental study sample in bullying behavior and emotional intelligence when they respond to a counseling program based on developing emotional intelligence to reduce bullying behavior in pre and post performance.
The study also recommended a set of recommendations, the most important of which are:
1-Holding seminars on the importance of emotional intelligence for parents, teachers, and everyone in charge of caring for adolescents, in order to help adolescents develop emotional intelligence skills and ways of good communication with others.
2-Holding training courses and workshops continuously for students that help develop their emotional intelligence because of its good effects in reducing widespread bullying behaviors.
