Abstract



The study aims to find out the social and psychological dimensions associated with the demand for witchcraft, and the extent to which this is reflected in the family. A comparative anthropological study between in the EL-Dalgamoun village and Kafr El Zayat city in El - Gharbia Governorate.
The researchers used several data collection tools: a questionnaire (by the researchers) to investigate the social dimensions associated with the demand for magic, which were applied to a sample of 140 individual samples of the rural sample, Which were applied to a sample of (140) single sample of the rural sample, divided into (65) single male, (75) single female, The sample of the urban population was (90) individuals divided into (25) single male, (65) single female, in addition to the design of the scale "psychological dimensions associated with the demand for magic work" (prepared by researchers), has been applied on a sample of (150) single sample of the countryside, divided into (75) single male, (75) single female, and the sample of urban strength (150) individuals divided into (75) single male, (75) single female, It was applied before and after.
 
This is in addition to Formulating two interview directories (prepared by the researchers) with the practitioner in the village Dalgamon and the practitioner in the city Kafr El-Zayat, in addition to their reliance on "observation by participation - and the news makers."
The study was based on: (analytical descriptive approach - Anthropological method - the method of social survey using the sample method - Folklore Bibliography- the traditional comparative approach).
The study results are as follows: The Women are most Frequency more than men on Witches, and the reason for this is that Females are more prone to lobbying. Belief in the cultural traditions that human grow upon it, which is an integral part of human memory, which grew from grandparents, parents and relatives, and which are exploited by the practitioner in the illusion of the recipient and to persuade the recipient through some of the proverbs or folklore Which made up the receiver to interpret the incidents and events to an absent power range under metaphysics of jinn and demons, because of the legacy of the popularity gas grown with the growth of human. Medicine failed to explain certain medical conditions, prompting the recipient to resort to quackery and voodoo believing of the effectiveness of these methods unlike medicine, treatment may take a formal period of time to eradicate the disease but the patient is unaware of medical things, All his means is sense of pain and how to eliminate it, and this was a motivation to resort to whom give him a prompt treatment to eradicate the pain, whatever the consequences.
