THE ROLE OF STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT APPLIED STUDY ON SOME NEIGHBORHOODS IN THE CITY OF CAIRO

Abstract

The research aims to identify the importance and role of standards of excellence in the development of environmental administrations in some local neighborhoods in the environmental governorate of Cairo.  To achieve the objectives of the research, a questionnaire was designed and distributed to some executive officials in the neighborhoods of Al-Salam, Al-Salam Awal, Al-Marj.  The survey lists were also used to collect the primary data necessary to conduct the field study through a survey list that was designed to ensure the validity or incorrectness of the research hypotheses.  Statistically significant between activating the role of environmental management and improving environmental performance. In light of the findings of the study, the study concluded several recommendations, the most important of which are the need to apply and adopt the concept of standards of excellence within local neighborhood administrations because of their role in improving and developing the environmental performance of environmental departments.
