Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of NGOs in integrating people with special needs in society, by identifying the role of NGOs in building the capabilities of people with special educational, productivity, training, and social needs. The researcher relied on the case study method through application on both the Urban Eshraqa Association and the Rural Handicapped Union Association. The research sample consisted of a sample of the target audience of the Ishraqa Association, the Association of the Handicapped Union and a sample of board members and workers in both associations. The questionnaire was applied as a tool for the study, which consisted of four axes. The results showed: The interest of both groups in building the capabilities of people with special educational needs and through the provision of educational and technological means that contribute to the educational qualification process, productivity The association employs 5% of its employees with special needs  And other training services through training them on the necessary motor skills, daily life skills, and social care. Interest in social and recreational activities for all beneficiaries of its services, and other services that suit them from the point of view of the beneficiaries, board members and workers of the two associations. This study emphasized the role of NGOs in  Building the capacities of people with special needs by integrating them into the community, and this study recommends that NGOs create electronic databases for the activities they carry out with people with special needs to achieve a kind of credibility among businessmen about their activities, which will achieve an increase in the contribution of businessmen and professionals In supporting NGOs in achieving the greatest extent of this  activities and to a wide range of beneficiaries
