PLANNING TO IMPROVE THE PERFORMANC OF NGOS FOR ACHIEVING THE COMPONENTS OF VOLUNTARY ENVIRONMENTAL WORK IN LIGHT OF THE REQUIREMENTS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The study aimed  to plan to improve the performance of NGOs in achieving the elements of environmental volunteer work in the light of the requirements of sustainable development; To achieve this goal, the study used the descriptive approach to study the reality of the performance of civil associations working in the field of environmental protection and to study the elements of environmental voluntary work in them. The study tools consisted of preparing a questionnaire consisting of three main axes, namely: (the reality of achieving the requirements of sustainable development, the reality of the performance of civil associations in light of the goals of sustainable development, evaluation of the performance of civil associations in achieving the elements of environmental volunteer work).
The study concluded that the previous axes are generally achieved at a high level of performance, but there are still some shortcomings. Funding for environmental projects and initiatives. One of the most important proposals of the study sample is providing the necessary funding sources, establishing a database available to all NGOs on environmental volunteer work and the numbers and needs of volunteers, state, government and media support for NGOs and environmental volunteer work.
