Abstract

Although a relationship between exchange rate and social responsibility may be unexpected, the aim of the current research is to confirm the existence of a relationship or not. Therefore, the researchers used the descriptive and quantitative analytical method to analyze the data collected based on a survey that was distributed electronically to avoid dealing on paper due to the outbreak of Corona disease, where 200 responses were obtained from the respondents. The results indicated that exchange rate has a positive impact on the ability of companies affiliated with the business sector to carry out their social responsibility. As the association of companies' names with societal contributions increases consumer preference for their products, which will benefit them by increasing sales and achieving more profits. Therefore, we expect to motivate companies to carry out their social responsibility, to issue tax exemptions for these companies, and to have societal contributions within 2% of the annual net profit.
