THE OPTIMAL STRATEGY FOR EGYPTIAN FOREIGN TRADE WITH AFRICAN BLOCS - SWOT ANALYSIS

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the internal and external environment to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats facing the Egyptian foreign trade in order to reach a set of recommendations that can benefit the makers of the Egyptian economic policy in this field. The study found, through the analysis of the SWOT matrix, a number of strategies through which it is possible to increase strengths, maximize opportunities, and reduce weaknesses and threats facing intra-trade between Egypt and the countries of the three African blocs under study. and African countries and strengthening relations with these countries through training courses. (2) Raising the efficiency of sea, air and land ports to facilitate the passage of exports between African countries on the one hand, and between African and European countries and vice versa on the other. (3) Importing the technology and expertise of foreign countries in the field of improving the quality of products destined for export. (4) Benefiting from the state’s interest in expanding in the export sector by establishing economic blocs and common markets with the countries of the African assembly to overcome the intensity of competition between the Egyptian product and its competing products from other markets. (5) Apply the results of scientific research, studies and foreign experiences to overcome the inefficiency and adequacy of the available resources and find alternatives to face any possible developments in the countries importing Egyptian products.
