THE EFFECT OF ENVIRONMENTAL UPBRINGING ON THE PSYCHOLOGICAL SECURITY OF PEOPLE WITH ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVITY DISORDER IN A SAMPLE OF CHILDREN

Abstract

This research aims to achieve the following objectives: Knowing the relationship between patterns of environmental upbringing and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Knowing the differences in psychological security among children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in rural and urban areas. Knowing the differences between males and females in the degree of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The research relied on the descriptive analytical approach to describe and analyze the variables of the study, by providing a tool for measuring environmental upbringing, a tool for measuring psychological security, and a tool for measuring attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and the study sample consisted of (60) children of both sexes, (30) of whom were males. (15) males in urban areas and (15) males in the countryside, (30) children of females, 15 of them female in urban areas and (15) in the countryside in the late childhood stage (9-12) years.
 
The research found the following: There are statistically significant differences between the patterns of environmental upbringing and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children in late childhood. There are statistically significant differences in the feeling of psychological security between children with ADHD in rural and urban areas in favor of urban areas. There is a relationship between the children's awareness of the patterns of environmental upbringing and the feeling of psychological security among the study sample. There are differences between males and females in the attention deficit and hyperactivity in favor of males in rural and urban areas.
It is recommended to search for: Establishing educational programs, especially family counseling, to provide a healthy environment to achieve psychological balance for its members. Using the best methods in caring for and educating children, and not being lenient in their upbringing. Conducting several studies on children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Making guidance programs for the parents and the teacher to help them discover the developmental difficulties of the child with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
