IMPLEMENTING THE TECHNICAL RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE SAFE PRODUCTION AND MARKETING OF CITRUS CROP IN AL NUBARIA AREA

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the degree of implementation of the beneficiary farmer respondents and graduate farmers to the safe production and marketing of citrus in Al Nubaria Area, to recognize the differences between the average degrees of the beneficiary farmer respondents and graduate to the degree of implementing the technical recommendations on the safe production and marketing of citrus crop in the research area, to find out the problems that respondents and graduates faced as well as their solving suggestions. The research was carried out Al Boustan monitor on citrus growers belonging to Al-Ghazali and Abdel Moneim Riyad associations for graduate farmers, and Abbas El-Akkad and Tawfiq Al-Hakim associations for beneficial farmers. The total sample comprised 1627 citrus growers, a systematic randomized sample of 10% of citrus growers was selected the from reality of possession statements from records of farmers possession statements in the Cooperative Society for Land Reclamation in Al-Bustan observatory making the sample size 163 respondents. Field data were collected using questionnaire forms via personal interviews during the period from April to June 2021. The Replicates, Percentages, Arithmetic mean and standard deviation were used to test the significance of the difference between the averages of two independent samples - T-test.
The research concluded the following important results: About 76.7% of the total study sample fell in the high category of graduate respondents' implementation indicator, all the respondents in the beneficiaries sample were of  moderate category of implementation. There was a significant difference between the average degrees of the study sample of beneficiaries and graduates in terms of the degree of implementing the technical recommendations for the safe production and marketing of citrus crop  in the study area, in favor of the graduate sample, where the calculated (T) value was 24.5, which is significant at level of 0.05.
