QUALITY FUNCTION DEPLOYMENT TOOL AS AMETHOD TO ASSESS THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION SERVICES IN THE POST GRADUATE AMODEL OF DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT OF QUALITY SYSTEM ACCREDITATION AIN SHAMS UNIVERSITY

Abstract

Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is one of the most important modern quality methods in assessing the quality of services provided by various development institutions, including educational institutions. The QFD quality deployment method is distinguished from the rest of the methods to focus on current and future client opinions. The level of service provided in a precise scientific manner, according to precise statistical arrays and methods of this technique, which follows matrices and statistical logic that translates the views and opinions of students from qualitative to accurate quantitative method.
The focus on beneficiaries (students) to assess the quality of educational service is due to the importance of the subject of satisfaction and satisfaction of their needs as the main output of the educational process. The aim of this research is to evaluate the quality of the educational service at the postgraduate level using the tool for spreading the quality function and applying the Diploma of Quality and Accreditation Systems Management at Ain Shams University as a model to illustrate how to apply the method QFD to assess quality of educational service. The QFD method was used to construct a quality home by designing a student-oriented form (15 items to assess the quality of the educational service, 15 items to assess the requirements of the subsystems), and the study population of all diploma students in batch 2017-2018).
The study found that the quality of the educational service (reliability, reliability, content, empathy, and responsiveness) was evaluated by determining their relative importance through the students' view. The first ranking came from the reliability of 35.03%, followed by the second ranking of 31.80% Reliability is 13.35%, followed by the response in the fourth order of 12.96%, and in the fifth ranking, sympathy is 6.85%. The quality of education service quality house was built on the basis of identifying the requirements of the most important subsystems (administrative, technical and social) by selecting the two items that received the highest relative importance from the students' point of view. Results The quality of the educational service in the Diploma of Quality and Accreditation Systems Management at Ain Shams University related to subsystems (administrative, technical and social) in light of their relationship with the dimensions of quality of educational service (Reliability, relevance, reliability, responsiveness, and empathy) from the perspective of students.
