THE IMPACT OF RESOURCE PLANNING SYSTEMS ON MANAGEMENT EFFICIENCY AND PROFITABILITY - (A FIELD STUDY)

Abstract

This research targets to clear the importance of use of Resource Planning Systems at the different Organizations, through a field study on Juhayna for Food Industries, to prove the effectiveness of of these systems to achieve the following: Ensuring Management effectiveness, through providing the needed information at the right time, at a reasonable cost, to support the accuracy of the decision making process. Increasing Profitability through, enhancement of Resource Planning, and Cost Reduction. This study was a result of Juhayna’s believes with Quality, Food, and Environmental Safety, as the company is keen to ensure the products quality, despite the changes of the work environment and used technologies. Juhayna, believes that products quality is the main driver for development, thus it’s success to provide high quality food products due to it’s commitment with the best local and international quality standards. Due to the above, the importance of “Quality Management System” to ensure that all products are consistent with the best international quality standards, and to provide safe and healthy work environment. The company has developed and implemented several quality protocols for production and delivery.
As to achieve the purpose of this study, the researcher has made the following: Collect and analyze the Liquidity, Profitability, Operational, and Debits Ratios, through the study of the financial statements of the company, through the study period, before and after the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning System. As a result, the researcher has collected, analyzed, and tested the Assumptions through the Application Of: “Statistical Package for Social Sciences”
The Study has researched the following result: However, There was a relation between the implementation of ERP and the Management Efficiency, yet it was not a significant relation.
The Researcher has suggested some recommendations to help use the output of this study: There is no doubt that ERP Implementation is important for Companies. ERP Users Periodical Training is important. ERP Reports are important to support the Decision Making. It’s an integral part of the implementation process, to avail a CRM “Customer Relationship Management System”, to register and follow customers/ employees complains and suggestion, to guarantee ERP quality. Qualified employees could be able to support the management decision making processes, yet most probably those employees could be under extra pressure to reach the same results of implanting the system.
