BEHAVIORS OF CHILDREN IN THE ENVIRONMENT AND THEIR RELATION TO THEIR ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY A FIELD STUDY ON A SAMPLE OF LATE CHILDHOOD CHILDREN IN CAIRO GOVERNORATE

Abstract

The current study aimed at identifying students' behaviors in the environment and their relationship to environmental responsibility. They had a "field study on a sample of late childhood children in Cairo Governorate, and the researchers used the comparative descriptive analytical approach. The study sample consisted of (280) of them (150) from government schools (70) Males, (80) females and (130) from international schools, including (70) males and (60) females in Cairo Governorate. Their ages ranged between (9-12) years, and the tools consisted of a measure of the behavior of late childhood pupils towards Environmental (prepared by researchers), measure of environmental responsibility for late childhood pupils (prepared by the researchers).
The study revealed that there is a relationship between environmental responsibility and their behavior towards the environment. Attention to all environmental education programs and activities, as well as teaching them as curricula and curricula, attention of the various media and educational institutions in developing environmental responsibility.
