THE IMPACT EXTENT OF KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT IN APPLYING ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AN APPLIED STUDY ON INDUSTRIAL AREA COMPANIES IN ABU RAWASH

Abstract

The study aimed to: Identify the nature of the link between knowledge management and its components and the environmental management system and its components, and the extent of the influence of knowledge management and its elements on the environmental management system and its components. The study targeted (120) workers at different administrative levels for (8) companies in the industrial zone in Abu Rawash that apply Environmental management system, with a percentage of 10% of the total number of its employees, and the study followed the descriptive approach, and data were collected through the interview and a Questionnaire list the first part of it was devoted to the for knowledge management as an independent variable that contains (4) sub-variables which are knowledge content, technology, knowledge management processes, The employees, and the second part was devoted to the environmental management system as a dependent variable that contains (4) sub-variables: planning, implementation, review, development, and the response rate was 94.17%, and the study was carried out during the period 6/19/2019 to 12/2/2020.
The most important recommendations of the study:

The necessity of using knowledge management in industrial companies to participate, interact and integrate with the environmental management system in these companies to achieve the desired quality and effectiveness, improve environmental performance.
Optimize the use of technology to make faster and optimal decisions for environmental management.
Increase interest in workers who are able Creativity and innovation,
Focusing on the continuous improvement of environmental performance.
 Disclosure of the company's work in knowledge management. Inclusion of this in the company's environmental policy to present a bright image to interested parties and to motivate competing companies.
