POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE CHANGES IN SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL VALUES FOR EGYPTIAN YOUTH AFTER THE REVOLUTION OF JANUARY 25 A STUDY OF DIFFERENT SOCIAL STRATA OF UNIVERSITY YOUTH IN RURAL AND URBAN

Abstract

The study objectives: The study objectives are to verifying the most important changes that took place after the revolution of 25 January on the social and environmental values prevailing in the Egyptian society, especially among the youth, and to know the impact of this revolution on the value structure, and whether the changes if there are negative or positive changes? , So that we can identify the direction of the Egyptian society moving, do negative values prevail in the end? (100) males (100) females. The descriptive approach, the social survey method and the tools were used as a questionnaire for social and environmental values.
The study reached a number of most important results:
1-   The existence of a positive relationship between the educational level of parents and the adherence to positive social and environmental values.
2-   There is a relationship between the economic level of the research vocabulary and their adherence to the values of work and learning and belonging to the homeland and the preservation of the environment and resources, and aesthetic taste of the environment.
3-   There is no difference between the urban and rural respondents' perceptions of social values.
4-   There is a difference in what the respondents adopt in terms of environmental values according to their origin (rural / urban)
5-   The field study showed a decline in the social and environmental values of the Egyptian society according to the point of view of the sample items.
Study recommends:

The need to focus on the dissemination of ideal values in the growth and fight against any attempts to undermine the values of society, to address the negative changes in social values, through media, cinema and the arts, which has become one of the largest means of shaping values among young people.
The need for concerted efforts between all institutions of the State and civil society in order to correct the course of youth orientation, and give them values that raise the status of the individual and then the entire society
Work to increase the spirit of belonging to the homeland among young people that value, which in turn affect many values such as dedication to work, participation, preservation of the environment and resources ... etc, through the integration of young people, especially from the countryside and the south in the exchange of cultures even They can expand their perceptions, so as not to feel the hatred towards others, which leaves them feeling belonging to the homeland.
