POMEGRANATE FARMERS USE OF THE ELECTRONIC EXTENSION APPLICATION FOR POMEGRANATE CROP IN ISMAILIA GOVERNORATE

Abstract

Agricultural extension aims to extension service on an educational basis that is presented to the farmers to teach them new ideas that work to bring about changes in the information, knowledge, attitudes and behavior of individuals about each new, with the aim of helping farmers to improve their standard of living by increasing the productivity of available resources and using them with the maximum efficiency possible to raise their economic, social and cultural level by The way of modern agricultural electronic applications, due to the lack of the number of guides and the lack of capabilities, especially during periods of emergence of crises, such as what Egypt was exposed to from the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic, and the lack of an electronic database for guidance and reference, so the research aimed to identify the opinions of pomegranate farmers in Ismailia Governorate, On the degree of ease of use of the indicative electronic application for the pomegranate crop, identifying the available knowledge and the quality of the information available through it, as well as their participation in expressing an opinion about the phrases that reflect the possibility of developing the application, and the extent of their satisfaction with it, in addition to identifying the degree of their commitment to preserving the environment. Descriptive and quantitative data were used to achieve the objectives of the research, depending on the data obtained through the used questionnaire that was distributed in the villages of Al-Taqaddum and Sharq Al-Buhairat in the Qantara Sharq district, and the hypotheses were tested statistically using the statistical program SPSS. The results showed that the vast majority of the respondents agree on the ease of using the application, the quality of information, the knowledge available through it, and their satisfaction with it, in addition to the existence of a positive and significant correlation between the degree of using the application and both information sources, attending workshops and mentoring training, and using The different means of technology, the media, and openness to the outside world, in addition to the degree of their satisfaction with the application, and the research recommended the importance of generalizing the use of the electronic extension application for the pomegranate crop due to the high levels of satisfaction of the respondents with it and the ease of its use.Keywords: Electronic Agricultural Extension - Extension Electronic Application - Pomegranate Crop -Environmental Dimension.
