Abstract

The study aimed to develop a proposed conception of liberal reading topics to develop the level of environmental enlightenment among middle school students.
The research sample was made up of 75 single pupils and 25 single teachers.
The study belongs to analytical descriptive research, where the questionnaire was used as an essential tool for collecting data after preparing a list of environmental issues, and analyzing the content of the curriculum, where the questionnaire forms were applied; Liberal reading topics for environmental issues; environmental topics proposed in liberal reading subjects by 75 divided forms: 50 single pupils, and (25) single teachers.
The study has reached many conclusions, the most important of which is the lack of a perception of liberal reading topics containing environmental issues for the development of environmental enlightenment, and a proposed conception of liberal reading topics involving environmental issues has been developed.
The study recommended the development of the level of environmental enlightenment among middle school students through the proposed conception of liberal reading topics by highlighting interest in environmental issues, integrating environmental topics, environmental education within the curriculum course to motivate students to look forward, knowledge, and contain liberal reading topics on environmental topics that further motivate students to pay attention to environmental issues, the effectiveness of the teacher's role and strategies, and the ways of teaching him in presenting environmental issues using the proposed perception while addressing reading topics. Liberal,which positively affects the environmental enlightenment of pupils.
