Abstract

This current research's purpose is to investigate the effectiveness of an electronic blog based on the environmental approach for developing the environmental citizenship among secondary school students. For achieving this, the study has reviewed several references, books and previous studies involved in this regard, reviewing also their tools for their great impact in making use of them in the current research. The research relies on the experimental method and the experimental design using some tools such as the scale of environmental citizenship. This scale includes four environmental dimensions for the development of environmental citizenship for secondary school students, that consist of (57) items. The study objective is to determine the effectiveness of an electronic blog based on the environmental approach for developing environmental citizenship among secondary school students and to ensure the validity and reliability of the scale for the research group, which includes (30) students.
 
Among the most important results are: The effectiveness of an electronic blog based on the environmental approach for developing environmental citizenship in its four dimensions: the awareness of environmental rights and duties, the attitude towards environmental justice, the attitude towards sustainable environmental development, and the responsible environmental behavior of the research group.
The research recommends taking advantage of web technologies, most notably blogs in the educational process at its various stages and employing them in order to achieve interactive education and improve opportunities for self-learning.
