Abstract

This research relied on the descriptive, correlational, comparative method. The descriptive approach is to reveal the correlation between parental abuse and rebellion in a sample of children, and the comparison is to show the differences in both rebellion and parental abuse in a sample of adolescents between male and female children, with the aim of revealing the nature of The relationship between the scores of the study sample of children on the scales of child rebelliousness and perceived parental abuse of children. And revealing the nature of the differences between the mean scores of male and female children on the children's rebellious scale. And revealing the nature of the differences between the mean scores of male and female children on the scale of perceived parental abuse of children. To achieve this, I relied on the measure of rebelliousness in children. The Parental Abuse Scale as Perceived by Parents. Raven Progressive Matrices Scale of Intelligence. The most important findings of the study were: There is a statistically significant correlation between the scores of the study sample of children on the scales of child rebellion and perceived parental abuse of children. There were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of male and female children on the children's rebellious scale. There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of male and female children on the scale of perceived parental abuse of children (psychological abuse, physical abuse, neglect, and the total score), in the direction of male children.
