Hot mix asphalt (HMA) is a major construction material used for building roads, airport runways, and parking lots (ASCE 2014). During HMA construction, a massive amount of volatile organic compounds (VOC'Ss) is emitted from the hot asphalt mixtures, creating a potential health risk to on-site workers. Few studies have quantitatively investigated (Chong <em>et al.</em>, 2013). The constituents and the potential health effects of the VOC's generated from HMA pavement construction were studied. This paper presents the results of a study in which air samples were collected at multiple locations and time points of several projects during HMA pavement construction and were their chemical compositions and concentrations subsequently characterized by using gas chromatography/mass selective detector (GC/MSD). Although the individual concentrations of the identified chemicals were found to be below various exposure limits, their collective effect on human health remains unknown and may not be ignored (Chong <em>et al.</em>, 2013).

The presence of pollutants in the lakes considers the most common problem facing consumers. So, the aim of this study was to monitor the physiochemical, bacteriological properties of Qarun lake. It is a closed saline lake in the northern part of El-Fayoum Depression (Middle Egypt) at the margin of the Great Western Desert. During the 20th century, lake water salinity has increased strongly as a result of high evaporation rate. Also fish productivity decreased strongly. It receives agricultural and domestic non-treated drainage waters, which are also used for aquaculture in Qarun area. The study aimed to know the state of the lake and monitored the effect of agricultural drainages and domestic on the concentration of pollutants. The Physiochemical, bacteriological and some heavy metals monitored during the summer of 2017 to compare it with the previous results of the lake.
The study proved that the lake suffering pollution by heavy metals as Cd (0.0034mg/l), Zn (1.091mg/l) at Al-Bats drain, NH3 (0.58 mg/l),PO4-3(1.38mg/l),COD (292mg/l) and BOD (71mg/l) at Al-Wadi drain. Therefore, it is necessary to put an environmental policy to control this pollution.

This study was conducted to highlight the significant environmental factors that may have impacts on breast benign and malignant diseases. This study was carried out on one hundred females who came to radiology department to perform mammographic examination. A complete personal and family history of patients was taken, clinical examination was done, all cases were asked to fill a questionnaire about how often they deal with each item of the environmental factors including (alcohol, caffeine, smoking, use of some material that are commonly used in daily life and known to have estrogenic effect including (food and soda cans, plastic containers, insecticides, detergents and cleaning agent, deodorants and cosmetics) then digital mammographic examination was done for all cases. Cases with high 17b Estradiol hormone blood level were excluded from the study. The quantitative data were presented as mean and standard deviations. Also qualitative variables were presented as number and percentages. The comparison between groups regarding qualitative data was done by using Chi-square test while the comparison between more than two groups with quantitative data were done by using One Way ANOVA. The confidence interval was set to 95% and the margin of error accepted was set to 5%. So, the p-value was considered significant at the level of < 0.05. Occurrence of benign and malignant lesions, breast calcifications and axillary lymphadenopathy was significantly associated to environmental estrogens containing items namely; use of diet & soda cans, use of insecticides, use of detergents & cleaning agents, use of deodorants, use of cosmetics and use of plastic containers. Age, BMI of the patient and previous mammographic examinations was significantly associated to occurrence of benign and malignant lesions, breast calcifications and axillary lymphadenopathy. No significant association found between alcohol intake and axillary lymphadenopathy and between caffeine intake and breast calcifications. Caffeine intake, alcohol intake and smoking had no significant association with occurrence of benign and malignant lesions.<br /> <strong> </strong>

The main objective of this research is evaluating dykes as rain water harvesting activities to maximize rainwater utilizing in drainage basins in the northwestern coast of Egypt which receive amount of water and have a population growth and agricultural activities. Wadi bed cultivation is the water harvesting system in the chosen wadi. It is usually done through construction of stone dykes to store surface runoff coming from tableland in the south, the main problems associated with this type of water harvesting are unequal water distribution through the wadi, where less runoff water reaches the wadi beds in downstream, with the result that downstream crops become increasingly water-stressed, moreover storing volume of water higher than fig water requirement the results in delaying agricultural development. To maximize rainwater use, 50 stone dykes of 50 cm spillway height were evaluated in term of water distribution efficiency and the percentage of stored water volume to plant water volume requirement/season. And depending on the storage capacity of dykes, fig water requirement and the runoff volume of the average season of rainfall data for 17 years from October to march (one season) estimated by Soil Conservation Service (SCS) method and Geographical information system (GIS)
The results of the present study show that wadi Shebity watershed receives average annual rainfall volume of 435217 m3, 121922 m3 from it by percentage of 28 % run on ground while the residue percentage of 72 % distribute among evaporation and infiltration in soil, 118590 m3 of surface run off by percentage of 97 % stored by dykes by water distribution efficiency of 3, 12, 100 % for rainfall of 12, 20 and 53 mm respectively, and 3332 m3 by percentage of 3 % is lost in the sea. The percentage of the stored water volume to the cultivated areas water volume requirements is 118 % with difference of 18168m3. The study reveals that the end of wadi shibty is in safe from flood hazard, where the runoff coming from the table land at the south is stored completely by dykes even with the maximum rainfall of 53 mm. The spillway height of 50 cm is not suitable to distribute surface runoff through the wadi for low and medium rainfall which is more frequency, moreover stores water volume higher than the fig water requirement with 18168 m3. Further the methodology followed in this study can be applied in all other wadis watersheds but designing new or modification of the existing water harvesting system of dykes will depend on its watershed area and its physical Characteristics, rainfall, the cultivated land area and crop/fruit type. The present study reaches out for some recommendations to maximize rainwater utilizing

Water quality control is a major issue for Egypt where the severity of present water quality problems varies among different water bodies. Managing the water quality of Gharbia drain is an important issue to ensure suitability of drain water for reuse in irrigation. The assessment of the drain water enhanced substantially by the use of water quality simulation model (HEC-RAS) to investigate environmental impacts based on the principle of treatment. The study activities based on field measurements, laboratory analysis and data interpretation for Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Total Nitrogen, Organic Nitrogen, Ammonia, Nitrate, Nitrite, Total Phosphorus, Organic Phosphorus and Ortho Phosphate. The pollution load calculated for the point sources that have the most negatively impact on the water quality of the drain were identified and six different scenarios were developed (decreasing the concentration by 25% and 50% from its original value to improve water quality of the drain) using water quality modeling (HEC-RAS model).
The results indicate that the sixth scenario in which 50% improvement in water quality of the point sources of samatay & P.S. 3,4,5,6 due to the increase of wastewater treatment plants efficiency is the best scenario followed by the fourth which propose enhancement in the wastewater plants that are in the reach of Samatay and (5) Pump stations, which results in improving the water quality at these point sources by 50%. And fifth scenario which proposes the enhancement in the wastewater treatment plants that are in the catchment of stations (6, 3, 4) has been improved the water quality by 50%.

The study aimed to study the economic and environmental effects of the re-use of agricultural drainage water. The study found that despite the decline in net revenues, for the productivity and economic crops studied, it should be noted that the re-use of water resources, in general, and water drainage in particular. The study indicates that the intensification of the use of water and bring Egypt's largest hydro unit returns while experiencing Egypt where shortages water resources and their limitations. In spite of the economic benefits of re-use of agricultural drainage water, but there are a number of negative impacts on agricultural and human environment due to the use of this water in agriculture, which requires him to improve water quality and further chemical analyzes to mitigate these effects, as well as work on activating the role of Agricultural Extension agricultural cooperation to increase awareness by methods dealing with irrigation water and avoid risks resulting from it.

In fact spoken language considers the source of a human being's power, uniqueness and means of communication, comprehending, describing feelings and expression of point of view that distinguishes humans from other creatures. However, language is one of the most complex aspects of behavior that may encounter some disorders that affect speech and make it difficult. Language emerges from a child's imitation of others counting on proper healthy hearing, vision and perception. A child imitates other voices and sounds so, hearing considers the most important element in proper language in addition to element of perception and mindfulness. Childhood is the one of the most important stages in liguistic growth and development as child transports all that he sees, hears, and percieve into verbal words. He imitates his parents recieves and sends even slowness in talking and verbal difficulties. This creates problems in pronounciation and talk in different educational stages.

The phenomenon of floods considers one of the most critical ecological hazards that may lead into multiple of environmental and human disasters, particularly, to the sustainable development process in the study area; since the forceful inflow of the current waters into valleys turns into a destructive deadly power to the railway stations, roads, and establishments. Hereby, researchers with environment’s risks have had to consider this repetitive phenomenon.
The researcher has selected Safaga area to become the study area to examine floods’ hazards and their impact on sustainable development, as floods are one of the most important ecological phenomena burden with environmental risks to the Red Sea governorate, specifically, the study area (Safaga) for being a promising area of future economic growth and for including several risky valleys during floods’ occurrence.
In order to set present and future developmental programs, both natural and human risks should be included within the framework of sustainable development to restrict disasters. Geographical Information Systems (GIS) play a significant primary role in floods and their hazards; in the past few years, as the GIS have been capable of providing decision-makers with multiple data that have facilitated management of the disaster, regarding the ability of inquiring and planning for hazards.
This research comes out with a selection of approaches for restricting disaster of floods through keeping inhabited areas away from floods and disasters ways, establishing also a group of institutions that would be capable of resisting the expected floods such as bridges and dams; taking into consideration the cost and benefit of these establishments; alleviating this through reducing losses by counting on planning of lands’ utilization in the exposed to-floods areas, particularly, the coastal and defining determinants of directing these uses according to their economic or spatial value. In addition, people should be warned at floods duration through using modern techniques and methods of prediction using the GIS and means of protection from floods’ hazards by seeking the protection establishments in case of inhabited areas such as (Safaga city – the fishermen’ villages – land roads – tourist villages), defining type of risk for each and how to protect it when hazards are highly risky.

All countries of the world considers that the Supreme Corporation of control and accounting is the custodian of public money by putting them independent, it interrogates administrative and State bodies for the use and management of public money, and then reporting the results of this audit submitted to the People's Assembly in the parliament to take corrective required procedures case of irregularities.
Thus, interrogation the government over its activities related to the environment, whether in industry, health field, housing or any other sectors of the state leads to the necessity to prepare reports on the results of environmental activities, it should be subject to independent control at all levels for centers and municipalities.
The scarcity of researchers writing in the subject of corporate governance and environmental performance, as well as the application of modern environmental auditing as one of the branches of the auditing bodies and financial accounting in all over the world.

The relationship between foreign direct investment and the environment is one of the most important contemporary economic issues because of its dangerous environmental effects. Despite the positive aspects of this relationship, it is not without the negative impact that causes serious damage at the national level. Although many thinkers consider FDI to be an important factor in economic development, we see it as a phenomenon with negative environmental impacts, sometimes making it a negative factor in the development process. The problem of the study is the contradiction between the process of attracting foreign direct investment and long-term environmental protection policies, because foreign direct investment flows may lead to the depletion of natural resources, the disruption of their balance and the pollution of the environment. The protection of the environment is to rationalize the use of natural resources without pollution and preserve them for future generations This means that there may be a conflict between foreign direct investment flows in terms of the use and conservation of natural resources, on one hand, and higher production costs in the case of environmental conditions, on the other hand. In light of the foregoing, this study examines the problem of the extent of the conflict between the process of attracting foreign direct investment and long-term environmental protection policies, especially in the petroleum sector as the most economic sector in relation to environmental policies. This study examines the impact of environmental pollution on the oil sector within the Arab Republic of Egypt, expressed by the emission of carbon dioxide (CO2) on foreign direct investment flows during the study period (1980/2015). The carbon dioxide emissions variable was used as an indicator of environmental policy and some other independent variables. The linear regression model was used to measure environmental impact.<br /> The results of the study showed a positive and significant relationship between carbon dioxide emissions and foreign direct investment. When the CO2 emissions increase by 1%, foreign direct investment increases by 3.39% at a significant level of 10%.<br /> The research uses the extrapolation method through the study of previous studies, scientific books and scientific periodicals, in order to identify the problem in question; and analytical method to analyze the data that prove the validity or lack of validity of research hypotheses based on the research. (1980-2015). The tools used are descriptive analysis tools through the theoretical framework of research and quantitative tools through the use of the linear regression model.<br /> One of the most important recommendations of the research is that the Egyptian government should work to attract more foreign direct investment instead of relying on loans and aid to fill the deficit in the budget by providing more incentives and facilities that attract investments on scientific bases, To implement them, and in a manner not inconsistent with the national interest. Supporting political and security stability is also an important and vital requirement for establishing a safe environment for investment in political influences that plays an important role in shaping the economic climate in general and investment in particular.
