The aim of this study was to emphasize the effect of hexavalent chromium Cr (VI) on the performance of a pilot hybrid up-flow anaerobic sludge blanket (H-UASB) as well as to elaborate the biological reduction and removal of Cr (VI). The H-UASB was packed with non-woven polyester fabric (NWPF) and was operated at a hydraulic retention time (HRT) of 7.5 h, organic loading rate (OLR) ranged from 0.95 to 1.53 Kg COD m3/day. The system achieved satisfactory removal rates for total suspended solids (TSS) (86.44 %), chemical oxygen demand (COD) (74.18 %) and biological oxygen demand (BOD5) (84.8%) without the addition of Cr (VI). Results indicated that feeding the reactor with different concentrations of chromium ions from 600 mg / m3.d to 6000 mg / m3.d decreased the residual concentration of Cr (VI) in the effluent to 0.019 mg/l, while the accumulation of chromium ion increased in the biobed (160 mg/kg) and in excess sludge (165.44 mg/kg). This was due to the biological reduction of Cr (VI) to Cr (III) by the action of sulphate and chromate reducing bacteria. Also, sorption and biosorption mechanisms took place in the accumulated sludge in/on the NWPF as well as excess sludge in the reactor. Increasing the concentration of Cr (VI) up to 6000 mg / m3.d partially affected the biochemical reactions of the anaerobic microorganisms and consequently decreased the removal efficiency of TSS from 86.44% to 62.06%, COD from 74.2% to 57.07% and BOD5 from 84.8% to 61.92 %.

Twenty nine Barki sheep ewes (2-3 years old) were randomly assigned into four groups (7, 7, 8 and 7 animals for group 1, 2, 3 and 4, respectively) to investigate the impact of salinity in both water and feed on some wool fiber traits (greasy fleece weight; GFW, fibre diameter; FD, staple length; STL, fibre length; FL and fibre type ratios; FTR) and skin follicles characteristics (secondary to primary follicles ratio; S/P ratio) in addition to triiodotyronine; T3 and thyroxin; T4 hormones under semi-arid condition of South Sinai, Governorate, Egypt. Ewes of group 1 (G1) were served as control and fed on berseem hay and drink tap water. Ewes of group 2 (G2) were fed on berseem hay and drink saline water, while ewes of group 3 (G3) and group 4 (G4) were fed on salt-tolerant plants and drink either tap water or saline water, respectively. Results of the present study showed the high variability of both fibre lengths and fibre type ratios compared to the other traits. Type of ration had a significant (P Ewes in G1 had higher GFW and S/P ratio, longer coarse fibres (FL) and smaller FD than ewes in the other groups. However, differences among groups were not significant in the case of fibre type ratios, FL (fine fibres) and kemp. Ewes in both G2 and G4 showed the lighter GFW and the shorter SL compared to their partners in the other two groups.<br /> In conclusion, results indicated that Barki sheep are tolerant to both drinking saline water and feeding on salt tolerant plants although there was decreased in greasy fleece weight and staple length with slightly increases in fibre diameter.

Egypt considers one of the tourist states on which the tourist activity is considered one of the solutions for increasing national income and restricting the unemployment. Despite the great significance and multiple benefits of the tourist activity and its active role in total development, it is unstable and quick-affected by the surrounding circumstances of the hosting countries for tourists. It is also influenced by some other internal and external factors. For instance, Egyptian tourism is currently suffering from political security instability in addition to some negative security, behavioral, and social factors.
This present study drives at identifying or reaching some social variables that affect the imported tourism for the purpose of reaching possible solutions for problems encounter this imported tourism. The study uses the scientific method using the social survey and being applied on a random sample of (348) tourists from different nationalities, using a questionnaire form to be administered on four governorates (Luxor – Aswan – The Red Sea – Sharm El-Sheikh), in addition to hotels’ guests in some hotels and visitors of the Egyptian Museum. The researcher uses other tools including a questionnaire Form, case study, and review of literatures. The ecological system theory has been the intellectual orientation for the researcher as it collects between System theory and the Human Ecology, meaning the exchanged interactions between physical factors and living creatures.
<strong>The study comes to several important results including:</strong>
Tourists in the age stage (21-35 yrs.) represent 68% of the total sample and they are interested in identifying the religious beliefs, ancient Egyptian civilization, monumental tourism, and religious tourism.
Males are the most important category in tourism as they represent 68% of the sample and they care about the positive reputation of the tourist areas and identifying the habits, traditions, and religious beliefs of the original local inhabitants besides the recreational activities.
The stay period has differed for tourists with least period (5 days), as they care about identifying habits, traditions, and religious beliefs of the original local inhabitants, in addition to the recreational activities, night life, and religious visits.

The current study aims at verifying the effectiveness of a cognitive behavioral therapyprogram for the development of environmental psychological compatibility in a sample of children with cancer, the study sample consisted of (40) children divided as (20) children for the experimental group and(20) children for the control group,Based on a cognitive behavioral therapyprogram. Several tools were used in the program to collect data from the research community.
The use of the psycho-environmental compatibility scale is considered as a mean to serve the program's goal by applying it to children before and after the application of the program and also as a tracking measure, the study provided the basic data needed especially the type of disease, the duration of treatment and the type of treatment used. The study depended on dealing with children who experienced chemotherapy as a basic condition in the study. The study has ended to a result of development of the psycho-environmental compatibility in children with cancer for the experimental group that the researcher applied the program to them, while the children of the control group who did not experienced the program did not achieve any significant improvement on the scale of the psycho-environmental compatibility.
and the reasons whythe control group did not achieve any significant improvement are the bad psychological state they are experienced because of their exposure to chemotherapy and their feelings of anxiety, fear and depression due to the pain and the various side effects either for the disease itself or the treatment, which affects the compatibility with themselves or with the surrounding environment, Family, friends, colleagues, teachers and neighbors, and the acceptance of the physical environment around them, which the study has succeeded in improving significantly using the cognitive behavioral therapyprogram, and this is confirmed by the results of the study.

This current research drives at developing some dimensions of environmental responsibility in employees in the public relations sector in Fayoum governorate through holding a training program. Despite the multiply of laws and regulations addressing development and maintenance of the environment and to restrict negative environmental behaviors, environmental education is still the optimal proper solution for developing environmental responsibility; through which correct healthy behaviors can be produced that go in accordance with environment’s safety and preserve the environment. Environmental education is the key approach and motivator for forming attitudes and behavior of individuals towards the environment. Therefore, the developed states are much concerned with environmental education for its critical role in development. Public relation is a sector that has witnessed a great concern by states on all levels for the economic, social, and technological progress they witness that require existence of managements equipped with modern technology and human and materialistic means to deal with new changes and developments . Specialization and experience are critical elements for diffusing environmental awareness and environmental responsibility in addition to better performance and better communication. Since environment is critically important for human beings, there has been a necessity for conserving it and its natural resources through developing environmental responsibility among individuals. This concern in the environment could be translated through holding training programs and activities for focusing on value of the environment and solving its problems.
Results of post-application indicate that there are significant statistical differences between average scores of the experimental group pre/post application of scale of environmental responsibility and its triple dimensions and the full score, in favor of the post application.
The study recommends the necessity for focusing on using the training proposed program for developing environmental responsibility of employees in public relations sector and to concern with national and international environmental issues in order to achieve sustainable development in various media means.
