DECOLORIZATION OF REMAZOL BLUE AND REMAZOL RED USING ASPERGILLUS NIGER ISOLATED FROM TEXTILE WASTEWATER
Discharge of textile dyes in wastewater of textile factories represents a major environment problem threatening the aquatic life. The decolorization of such harmful chemicals is of paramount importance. In this work, Aspergillus niger, a brown rot fungi, isolated from the effluent samples around the textile industry of El- Baragil, Giza, Egypt was evaluated for its efficiency in decolorization of two textile dyes; Remazole blue and Remazol red. Effluent samples were also analyzed for their physiochemical properties. The optimum conditions for decolorization were found to be 4 days incubation, 30 ° C and pH4 in Sabouraud liquid medium supplemented with dextrose (10 g/l) and ammonium sulfate (2 g/l) as a carbon and nitrogen source, respectively. The response of the isolate to the increase in dye concentrations was found to be growth inhibitory. Decolorization extent and facile conditions showed the potential for the A.niger to be used in biological treatment of textile dyes.

ANATOMICAL ASPECTS OF STEM GALLS INDUCED BY RHOPALOMYIA SPP. ON THEIR HOST PLANTS
Seriphidium herba-album and Tanacetum sinaicum are important medicinal plants belonging to family Asteraceae; covering large areas within St. Katherine protectorate wadies and mountains. These plants are suffering from number of biotic stresses including plant galls (tumors) induced by the gall midge Rhopalomyia spp.. Permanent slides of galled and non-galled tissues were made in order to assess the anatomical induced effects in the host plants. Induction of a nutritive tissue surrounded by a storage tissue was recorded in both plants. A newly developed vascular tissue connecting gall tissues with the stem was formed in both plants. Formation of neo-vascularization within the gall tissue was a key feature within Tanacetum sinaicum galls. Induction of hairy non-glandular protective tissue was characteristics to Seriphidium herba-album galls. Despite sharing common anatomical features, galls induced in both plants were morphologically different. It was suggested that galls of both plants were induced by different Rhopalomyia species. More studies are needed to accurately identify the gall inducer species.

IMPACT OF HIKING TRAIL DISTURBANCE ON ANTS` DIVERSITY AT MOUNT SINAI, ST. KATHERINE PROTECTORATE, EGYPT
Saint Katherine Protectorate (SKP) is one of the most important regions for biodiversity in Egypt. Tourism and its associated activities has become the main economic driver in SKP which might have negative impacts on biodiversity. Ants are effective biological indicators, since ant species diversity correlates with the assembly of other invertebrate fauna of particular habitats. The current study aimed at assessing the impact of some anthropogenic activities along the touristic hiking trail passing through Mount Sinai area on ants` diversity. A total of 583 individuals belonging to nine ant species, three subfamilies, from (Family: Formicidae; Order: Hymenoptera) were recorded within the study localities in Mount Sinai. Our study showed that the hiking trail disturbance had a negative environmental impact on the species richness and abundance of ants within the study localities in Mount Sinai. Based on our results it is advisable to move the hiking trails to slopes of Mount Sinai away from its current location within the basins (farshs). More studies are needed to assess the impact of hiking trails and associated human activities on other biodiversity elements in SKP

CATALYTIC CRACKING OF HEAVY NAPHTHA USING NEW SULPHONATED MICA CATALYST
Sulphonated mica was prepared as catalytic cracking catalyst for heavy naphtha by sulphonation of oxidized mica using sulfuric acid. The oxidized mica was prepared by the treatment of mica with nitric acid to obtain its oxidized form. The raw mica and the prepared catalyst were analyzed by X-ray diffraction and FT-IR spectral analysis. The evaluation of the mica in catalytic cracking reaction of heavy naphtha showed weak activity. Modified mica exhibited high catalytic cracking activity.

EFFECT OFVITAMIN D3 IN PATIENTS WITH RESISTANT ASTHMA AMONG CHILDHOOD AND ELDERLY ASTHMATICS
Background: Bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder that is related with hyperresponsiveness of the airways and leads to repeated episodes of wheezing, dyspnea, chest tightness, and cough, which is often reversible, either spontaneously or after treatment Severe, steroid-resistant asthma is clinically and economically important, patients with this disease experience more frequent exacerbations of asthma, and are more likely to be hospitalized, and have a poorer quality of life. The association between vitamin D deficiency and asthma and allergies has recently increased significantly. Epidemiologic data in most of the reported studies suggest that low serum vitamin D (defined as circulating levels of 25(OH)D of ,30 ng/mL) in children with asthma is associated with more symptoms, exacerbations, reduced lung function, increased medication usage, and severe disease. The aim of the current study is to evaluate the effect of vitamin D3 in patients with resistant asthma among childhood and elderly asthmatics. Methods: This study includes 60 Resistant asthmatic subjects including 30 patients with serum 1.25 OH Vitamin D3 deficiency, who will be followed up after VITAMIN D3 supplementation therapy for three months and will be compared with 30 resistant asthmatic subjects with normal serum 1.25 OH Vitamin D3. Results: during the study period 1000 IU Vitamin D3 were supplemented to childhood asthmatics and 2000 IU Vitamin D3 were supplemented to elderly resistant asthmatics and Vitamin D3 was measured at the start and the end of the study. Conclusions: improvement in the pulmonary functions (FEV1, FVC, FEF) especially with those of vitamin D3 deficiency after vitamin D supplementation for 12 weeks. Recommendation: The study recommend that Measurement of vitamin D must be a routine step in resistant asthma among childhood and elderly resistant asthmatics, Vitamin D supplementation during childhood and adolescence, in adequate doses could be among the national nutritional priorities.

PRODUCTION AND ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY OF WHEAT CROP UNDER LRRIGATION SYSTEMS IN NEW VALLEY GOVERNORATE
The wheat crop is considered as one of the most important food crops on which the living organisms depend as a basic element of food. Moreover, many services and industries contribute in its preparation that allows multiple fields of investment and operation. Some of it is used in bread manufacturing, it can be used as a direct food for animals, and it also enters into feed industry as well as making different baked goods. the research aimed at estimating the production functions and the costs of the wheat crop, Estimating some measures of productive and economic efficiency of the crop and estimating the size that maximizes the profit as well as the optimal size that reduces the costs and comparing them with the size produced by the farmers in different farm capacities. The research hypotheses included a moral effect of the independent variables (human work, nitrogen fertilizer, phosphate fertilizer) on the productivity of the wheat yield according to the method of spray irrigation. The effect of the independent variables (human work, nitrogen fertilizer) on the productivity of the wheat yield according to the method of flooded irrigation was also included. The descriptive analytical method was used to form the theoretical framework for the research. The primary data were collected through a survey form as a main research tool prepared specifically for this purpose, which was distributed to a sample of 200. The results showed that the most important explanatory variables according to the spray method affecting the dependent variable were the quantity of human work (S1), and the quantity of the phosphate fertilizer in the effective unit (S4) and the quantity of the nitrogen fertilizer in the effective unit (S5), where they were statistically moral at 0.01, 0.05, which showed the positive relationship due to the agreement of their reference with economic logic. It was also found that the most important explanatory variables according to the method of flooding irrigation that affect the dependent variable were the quantity of human work (S1), and the quantity of nitrogen fertilizer in the effective unit (S5), where they were statistically moral at level 0.01, 0.05, which showed the positive relation and this is due to the agreement of its reference with the economic logic. The irrigation water production index was calculated according to the irrigation method. The water unit productivity was 8.07 Ardab. The net revenue from the water unit reached 2,172.88 pounds. The unit cost of production amounted to 258.08 pound /Ardab. The quantity of water needed to produce the unit The total irrigation cost was 0.12 thousand m3, the irrigation cost ratio for the total cost was 21.99%. As for the irrigation method, the water unit productivity was 3.75 ardeb, the net revenue from the water unit was 876.13 pounds, the production unit cost was 289.00 pounds /Ardab, To produce the output unit of 0.27 thousand m3, the proportion of irrigation costs per ton The total rate is 29.54%. Which shows that there is a preference for the use of spray irrigation method compared to the method of irrigation by flooding. The study recommended the expansion of the use of advanced irrigation methods and appropriate irrigation methods, the use of organic and biological agriculture to reduce fertilizers and chemical pesticides contaminated with the environment, and the expansion of the cultivation of wheat because it is a crop with a high return of the material, the need to work to increase the search for Groundwater resources and the establishment of controls for wells that have been dug and work on the efficiency of use.
