Two Schiff bases derivatives from 1,8- diaminooctane namely: N,N\-bis-(phenylmethylene)-1,8-diaminooctane (SB1) and N,N\-bis-(2-hydroxyphenylmethylene)-1,8-diaminooctane (SB2) have been prepared and investigated as corrosion inhibitors for carbon steel in 1 M HCl using weight loss, electrochemical (Potentiodynamic Polarization and Electrochemical Impedance ) measurements, SEM and EDX methods. They show good corrosion inhibition efficiency with the inhibition efficiency of SB2 being higher than that of SB1. The results obtained indicate that both inhibitors act as mixed type inhibitors. They follow Langmuir adsorption isotherm. The results obtained from the polarization technique are in good agreement with those obtained from weight loss method.

In Egypt, there is a power crisis. So search on varieties of power sources, especially in the highly consumed energy industries like cement is going in. Hence, Egypt began using coal as an energy source instead of Mazeot and Natural Gas. However, coal combustion emits large amounts of air pollutants as mercury (Hg), sulfur content, carbon content and organic materials. The aim of the present study was to assess mercury emissions from coal burning cement industry at various cement companies that use different types of coal. This study was a descriptive cross-sectional survey that was conducted in Tourah, Helwan, and Arabian Cement Production settings that use coal as an energy source. Stack sampling of both vapor, and particulates' Hg was conducted according to the standard isokinetic method. Total stack Hg was then calculated. Helwan Cement plant (Coal) was of the highest Hg emissions [0.0008(0.011) mg/m3] followed by Tourah that uses petroleum coke [0.006(0.011) mg/m3] and Arabian (mixed coal) [0.003(0.006) mg/m3]. From the present study we concluded that Hg emissions of Helwan cement plant (petroleum coke) was higher than that of Tourah (Coal) and Arabian (mixed coal) ones. All plants were compliant with the Egyptian.

The present investigation concerned to study some ecological, aspects of terrestrial snails infesting different plant hosts viz, some field, vegetable, horticultural, ornamental and aromatic plant crops at Sharkia Governorate. A randomly survey carried out to detriment the incidence of land snail species at different area i.e., Hehia, Belbies, Meniat Elkamh, Abou Hammad and Zagazig districts at . Results revealed that three species of land snails belonging to three families of order: Stylommatophora were found. The snails and their families were Family: Hygromiidae (Monach cartusiana), Succineidae (Succinea putris) and Helicidae (Eobania vermiculate). The recorded snails’ species were varied in their incidence and it’s level of infestation according to the location and host plants. M. cartusiana was dominant comparing with the other species; it was recorded in all surveyed area. M. cartusiana recorded the highest level and infestation on Egyptian clover (+++), Brood peen (+++) and cabbage (+++), especially at Hehia districts. The recorded land snail's species could be ranked according to their incidence in studied areas as following: M. cartusiana > S. putris > E. Vermiculate. However there were many studies conducted on the Population dynamic of snails M. cartusiana and E. Vermiculate at Sharkia Governorate, so snail of S. putris was subjected to study this fenomena in this investigation Results indicated that, S. putris was recorded on Egyptian clover with high density during spring months (March, April and May) throughout two successive seasons 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 at Hehia and Belbies distracts. Population density of S. putris slightly increased to reach its peck (27.8 and 35 individual) & (37.4 and 42.4 individual) during April of growing season 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 at Hehia and Belbies districts respectively.

According to the sustainable development concept there is a very important relationship between the economic development and environment protection against various types of contaminations and pollutions, especially; those caused by chemical industrial firms. Unfortunately, many firms suffer from equipment aging, old, and small production-units employ obsolete technologies. The factories rehabilitation or replacement of the worn-out equipment with the new, modern, and environmentally friend technologies require investments. This paper addresses the problem of industrial pollution and measuring the economic and environmental effects of investment in the chemical industries. The research sample includes El Nasr Company for Fertilizers and Chemical Industries “SEMADCO” and The Egyptian Chemical Industries Company “KIMA”.“SEMADCO” and “KIMA” firms are Egyptian contributing companies belonging to the Chemical Industries Holding Company (CIHC) and the Ministry of Public Business Sector (MPBS) in A. R. E.It is concluded that the more efficient investments in chemical industries the less the harmful environmental effects of chemical industries. The less the harmful environmental effects of chemical industries the more investments economic benefits in chemical industries. The more the costs of pollution prevention the less the harmful environmental effects of the chemical industries. It is recommended that the firm's management give more attention for the efficient investments with great feasibility studies. Such investment has economic; “more financial benefits” and environmental benefits; “less harmful environmental effects”. Also, It is recommended that the firm's management taking in consideration the proposed model for the accounting disclosure of environmental information. As that disclosure has great importance in the field of planning and controlling to protect the environment from pollution risks caused by the chemical firms.

Solar energy is one of the most important energy resources in the world and is one of the most important sources of renewable energy because it is one of the main strategic options to meet the future needs of local and global energy, as it is available in most of the world. As well as it is a clean energy that does not pollute or harm the environment.
Distribution of solar energy on the surface of the earth varies according to earth rotation around the sun and the difference between the distances between them throughout the year .Thus, magnitude and intensity of solar radiation on the earth’s surface varies greatly from one season to one another according to the distance between the earth and the sun distinguished by different incident angles throughout the day and the year. Density of the clouds plays an important role in obscuring and reducing amounts and intensity of solar radiation and hence it reduces amount of potential energy, which is revealed by maps of spatial distribute of solar radiation and maps of the potential energy in Egypt.
In this study factors affecting solar radiation were analyzed and the potentials energy was estimated. The study included the analysis a questionnaire of the solar energy companies of (20) companies to reach a number of objectives, including to reveal to what extent the Egyptian culture in the field of solar energy, especially from the trend of establishing solar power plants in Egypt and the use of solar energy in various areas instead of traditional energy, some of the obstacles faced by investors in the field of solar energy in Egypt and how to overcome these obstacles in the near future have been cleared from the questionnaire.
The questionnaire revealed as well that there is noticeable increase in using solar energy instead of conventional energy. Therefore, solar power stations are involved in a variety of activities such as industry, lighting, cooking, farming, water pumping,...etc. These activities ascertain the importance of solar energy to achieve sustainable development and environmental security. In that manner, the future strategic plan of Egypt, which known as 2030, mainly emphasizes on increasing usage of renewable energy generally, and solar energy in specific in the major projects.

The cancer and tumors that are formed are divided into two parts: benign tumors that are at a certain extent and do not spread away from their place of origin and are not serious if they are detected and treated quickly and removed from the body. And cancerous malignant tumors spread in parts of the body and can not be controlled and often ends with the death of infected. This study belongs to the pattern of analytical descriptive studies as the most appropriate types of studies suitable to the nature of the subject of the study, which aims to describe and analyze the psychological and environmental stress of patients with uterine cancer of the average economic level, and our desire to know behavioral problems scientifically help us in prevention and treatment to provide a facet of care (Medical, social and psychological), and then we can get facts through information and interpret them and then draw conclusions and develop indicators that help reduce the psychological and environmental stress of patients with uterine cancer. The current study on the tools was based on the psychological and environmental stress measures for patients with uterine cancer and the actual sample: After verifying the validity of the measurement instrument and its stability, the questionnaire was distributed to the sample of the study. The researcher distributed 100 forms and retrieved (84) (14) form is not valid for statistical analysis, and therefore the actual sample of (70). The overall score in the table indicates that the psychological stress of the sample of the study was high. The mean of the total score after the psychological pressure (2.35) and the standard deviation (0.348) and the percentage of ( 78.33%), while the value of t was 7.176 at a significant level of 0.05, which indicates a decrease in the dispersion in the views of the sample of the study and convergence of views and note that the phrase ((29) God can heal me, I call it)) has obtained the highest averages, (2.79) and by a standard deviation (0.508), and a percentage of (91%) (20) did not receive the appropriate psychological support from the husband () at the lowest averages (1.63), with a standard deviation of (0.705) and a percentage of (54.33%). (Low). In the light of the research procedures and the results we have obtained and the quantitative and qualitative explanations we provide, we offer a number of recommendations and suggestions to expand the field of treatment of cancer diseases by integrating the psychological care of cancer patients in the field of health services and making them an important component of medical treatments. Emotional and psychological problems that may be exposed to patients as a result of cancer.

This study aimed at identifying the determinants and obstacles of social security in Egypt and the extent to which these determinants conform to international standards of social security. In addition to identifying the role of social security in Egypt in achieving sustainable social development and mechanisms to enhance this role, and hence a program to develop the performance of social security funds to enhance their role in achieving sustainable social development in the light of international standards.
Through the "case study" approach, the study sought to examine the funds of the National Social Insurance Authority, which are the "Insurance Fund for Governmental Sector, and the Insurance Fund for Public and Private Sector ". In its objectives, it has studied legislation, insurance benefits, administrative system and human resources, public relations, finance, and investment of fund money as key determinants of social development. The study also used a "comparative approach" to compare the performance of funds with international social security standards. The data were collected through a set of tools: direct observation, in-depth interviews, examination of documents from international conventions, laws, legislation, ministerial decisions and administrative instructions. The study also used two social theories: functional structural theory and general systems theory.
The results of the study revealed that the social security system policies in Egypt are far from international standards and that the challenges facing the Egyptian social security system are directly affected by the way they are run and managed. Good governance and effective enforcement of laws can create a social insurance system that is comprehensive and socially and economically appropriate, even with modest resources, if there are social and economic policies supported by sound management and based on harmonious social dialogue.
The study came out with a set of recommendations that were formulated in a proposed program to develop the performance of social security funds and enhance their role in achieving sustainable social development. The program includes nine axes: legislative amendment, financial and administrative autonomy, national consensus dialogue, human resource development, restructuring, service development and simplification of procedures, strengthening supervision, regulation, accountability and transparency; supporting policy-making and decision-making, and finally devoting a culture of excellence.

The aim of this study was to identify the social and physiological characteristics of the families that are susceptible to addiction in a sample of young people. The aim was to clarify the main causes of family dysfunction which led to the prevalence of substance abuse and addiction among young people and to the importance of the role of the family in protecting children from falling into the clutches of abuse And substance abuse.
The researchers used the descriptive approach. The study was conducted on a sample of (150) single (30) females and (120) males from the youth in the public and private public schools. The researchers used a questionnaire form (social and physical characteristics) Personal.
The study reached the following results:
That there are significant differences of statistical significance between each of the social characteristics of families vary from place to place so we find the prevalence of the prevalence of narcotic substances in popular weddings, unlike other areas, the study found that cultural heritage has a role in the spread of drugs on the basis of the method of formation and good communication And effective between the family members to make a proper social upbringing for children and avoid the occurrence of family problems so as not to create a gap between the family members, we find the son is the tradition of his father and everyone who is close to him, and also misrepresentation may lead to abuse and addiction to family members as a result of addiction to the father.
Among the recommendations reached by the researchers are the training of prisoners to train them on proper social upbringing and scientific methods to solve children's problems and to carry out awareness campaigns to prevent youth from the dangers of drug abuse and addiction, to activate the role of the law and legislations that criminalize the use, addiction, promotion or trafficking of narcotics. This current research purpose is to develop some environmental dimensions among youth in youth centers through applying a competition program designed by researchers, measuring its efficacy with youth. For achieving this, the researchers expose the programs presented to youth centers which have revealed a shortness of competitions programs in handling with environmental issues. The researchers use the descriptive method and the quasi-experimental method. Also, researchers have designed a program for competitions that include several issues represented in (pollution in its different types – wasting of resources – sustainable development – climatical changes – proper management of solid wastes – the biodiversity). A scale of environmental citizenship is designed consisting of three dimensions (personal responsibility – environmental justice – group work). The competition program has been applied on the research population that consists of (50) male/female young people aged (18-25 yrs. Old), members in Al-Jazira Youth Center. The study tools are embodied in: scale of Environmental Citizenship (by researcher) and a pre/post application of the tools are used to prove the program’s efficacy.
The results indicate the following:
There are significant statistical differences between average scores of youth of the experimental group at (0.05) significance level on environmental responsibility dimension pre/post application of the competition program, in favor of the post application for the experimental group that has received the competition program.
There are significant statistical differences between average scores of youth of the experimental group at (0.05) significance level on group work dimension pre/post application of the competition program, in favor of the post application for the experimental group that has received the competition program.

Energy and its resources are now the center if attention of the whole world. The demand for energy has been increasing given its obvious effect on economic growth rates, its importance in the welfare of societies and the result of the depletion of natural resources, especially fossil fuels that provide 80% of the world demand (Treiky Abd Elraouf, 2014). Meanwhile, energy sources are decreasing with an increasing rate over time, threatening as a result the world energy security and causing as well environmental pollution that has become more severe and has affected the environmental balance. For this reason its done search for alternative and renewable energy sources that are environmentally friendly, maintain environmental balance and secure energy for future generations. (Farida Kafi, 2016, p.140).
The research focuses on studying the environmental and economic effect of using biological mass in producing renewable energy as an alternative to fossil fuels that would help get rid of organic wastes in an ideal way through recycling and therefore reduce pollution and consumption of fossil fuels as an energy source.
The main problem in this research is the accumulation of thousands of tons of waste all over the country and its negative impacts amidst an ongoing crisis in traditional energy sources due to increasing consumption rates.
The study has reached the possibility of getting rid of huge amounts of biological wastes and converting them to valuable energy that would contribute to ending the environmental crisis, sparing the government the need to support power and reducing its imports, and the , positive effect on the national income and the cut-down of CO2 emissions.
In order to achieve the objectives of the study, an applied case study was carried out on garbage residues in Menia Governorate in the Arab Republic of Egypt - comprising nine centers and seventy villages. The sample size was 300 people for 60 families (30 families characterized by urban nature and 30 families characterized by rural nature) Difference in the level of living and educational income of the families under test by collecting and sorting the solid waste generated from the houses according to the samples selected at the governorate level and the centers during 2017.
The study recommends the use of biological mass, encouraging and supporting projects to convert waste to biological energy considering its role in protecting the environment. The study also recommends considering biological mass as an alternative alongside renewable sources.

The purpose of the research is to explain the role of private universities (established by Law No. 101 of 1992, as amended by Law No. 12 of 2009 in the matter of private universities) in solving the problems facing the higher education system and thus achieving the objectives of sustainable development in Egypt through strategic planning of financial policies supporting private universities in Egypt.
The research sought to answer the main question: To what extent can the financial policies supporting private universities develop the higher education system and thus achieve the goals of sustainable development in Egypt?
The researcher used a number of methodologies such as the descriptive approach,The case study method was used to describe the reality of the higher education system and sustainable development in Egypt and the analytical methodology of historical data to deal with the development of private universities in Egypt as well as the development of the concept of sustainable development globally and locally, as well as the role of private universities in solving the problems of the higher education system and achieving the goals of sustainable development in Egypt.
A number of interviews were conducted based on questions derived from the axes of sustainable development: Egypt's Vision 2030 with the university education officials of the Ministry of Higher Education. The researcher reached a number of results, the most important of which is that private universities can overcome all problems of university education in Egypt, In order to do so as a result of several reasons, most notably the lack of vision and financial policies planned by the State to support the establishment of such universities and therefore the establishment of these universities comes randomly and according to the wishes of the service provider without the State has no role but to approve the request for construction provided by the parties wishing to Willing private universities, and the current study recommended that there should be a strategic planning and financial policies in support of private universities to be established.

The aim of this research is to develop a proposed framework for solving the problem of energy production according to the available alternatives in the Egyptian economy by benefiting from the Chinese experience through an analytical study of the energy sources and problems in Egypt, in additional to energy efficiency indicators with the presentation of the Chinese experiment in order to benefit from it in increasing reliance on renewable sources instead of traditional source.
The research approach is based on the comparative descriptive approach, relying on statistical ratios and equations, through an analytical study of the energy sources in Egypt and its problems with the presentation of energy efficiency indicators based on the international statistical equations in their calculation, as well as the economic and environmental assessment of traditional and renewable energy sources, And the return on energy resources applied to the Egyptian and Chinese economies during the period from 2000 to 2016. The general results showed that solving the problem of energy production in Egypt to reduce its environmental impact is based on the need to rely on clean energy (wind and solar energy).
The study recommended that tax measures should be adopted to promote alternative energy, especially renewable energy, and benefit from China's experience in encouraging investors in wind and solar farms by providing incentives and financial support and taking several measures to reduce greenhouse gases emitted by taxation, subsidies and financial inducements for industrial enterprises to encourage On the use of alternative energy, as recommended by the study the need to exempt components and spare parts of renewable energy systems of the customs duties prescribed.
