Abstract

This research aimed to identify the role of medium, small and micro enterprises in achieving sustainable development by studying the relationship of obstacles to the implementation of small projects (financing obstacles, production and technical obstacles, marketing obstacles, political and governmental obstacles, and administrative obstacles) and the role of NGOs in supporting the development of small enterprises with the performance of Small enterprises (profitability, growth and market share, survival), and the role of small enterprises in supporting local economic activity (the extent to which small enterprises contribute to creating new job opportunities, the extent to which small enterprises contribute to integration with large enterprises to provide goods and services, the extent to which financing institutions contribute to providing Appropriate financing for small projects.
Among the most important findings he reached is that there is an inverse correlation between the obstacles to the implementation of medium, small and micro projects and the performance of these projects, and that there is a direct correlation between the performance of small projects and the role of these projects in supporting local economic activity in Damietta Governorate.
