THE ROLE OF YOUTH CARE IN THE TREATMENT OF SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH MALE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS HOSTEL _ AIN SHAMES UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The study aims to identify the role of youth care in addressing the social and environmental problems associated with university city students, the study relied on knowing the problems that occupy the minds of educators and educational policy makers related to education systems and programs that are related to creating appropriate social conditions for teaching and learning, such as student services and activities. The study sample of (200) university youth, residing in the university city of Ain Shams University, divided as follows: (100 subjects for theoretical faculties + 100 subjects for practical faculties) residing in the university city. This study belongs to descriptive studies using the social survey method, using the random sample.
The study concluded with a number of results, the most important of which are: The majority of the results of the field study indicate that youth care has an effective and powerful role within the university dormitory. It is appreciated and approved by the students. The results of the field study show that youth welfare provides the available social services, which limits their feeling of loneliness and alienation within the city and helps them to receive knowledge outside and inside the city walls easily and conveniently, thus limiting the existence of social problems within the university city. The results of the field study show that the university's youth care helps to solve social problems on a timely basis, as it indicates the great importance attached to the care of young people within university cities to work on solving problems on a timely basis and not neglecting them so as not to aggravate and grow.
The study concluded with number of proposals: To give more confidence to young people inside university dormitories by giving them the opportunity to shoulder the burdens and responsibilities of facing some of the major problems that society suffers from, such as illiteracy and disease. To increase social activities in the university dormitory in order to strengthen the bonds of social relations among students. To increase the university city's participation in various conferences that discuss the problems and needs of young people, especially expatriate students.
